Fall is a great time for Family Photos!

What do you get when you mix up a foggy day in fall, four generations of family, a family of six siblings, and quality photography? 
Great family portraits!

Black and Grey and Rust all over!

We had a blast in December down by the railroad tracks!  There are some old metal buildings down there that make for great photograph backgrounds.  These folks are some of the most fun I have ever met, and I think it comes out in these family portraits.  I am thrilled to share these photos because the family had not had portraits in several years and they loved the results we got.

 

 



  

Family Formals

A casual look in a formal environment, or a formal look in a casual environment.  The contrast can make for unique and memorable family photographs or portraits.

So we dressed up in our Sunday best and carted a park bench out into the desert one evening.  The results...

Caveat: that is a VERY GREEN desert thanks to a wet summer.  Another fun photography experience and some quality photos for the family holiday cards.

A Family of Fun!

     It was my pleasure to head out of doors one recent evening for a photography session with a family of six!  We had a ton of fun and got some really great quality pictures.  These images will serve as a reminder of this stage in the family life for years to come.  It was my pleasure to photograph this lovely family and it is my privilege to share a few pictures with you!

The beach...

Our family had an amazing day at the Gulf Coast recently!  Padre Island National Seashore is a beautiful place to enjoy the natural beauty and solitude of the coast.

We had a ton of fun.  Later in the afternoon, I was reminded how light can make a picture so special.  A feathered friend stopped by and stood around while we played in the sand.  The sky was overcast at that point, the beach and the water reflected the light so that there were no shadows, and the ocean and the sky seemed to blend into one in the distance.

I think outdoor photography is some of the best lighting and background for portraits of family and children.  Even in beach clothes, potraits of the kids were beautiful!
